Upping Avatar Size Limit

Upping Avatar Size Limit

Postby sponge » Sep 24, 2003 @ 7:30pm

Could the avatar limit be bumped up to something like 16K or 32K? It may help the size problems people are having, due to the sector sizes, etc.

Plus, I want to have those badgers as my avatar. Gotta love those badgers.

I was having problems when trying to upload a new avatar recently too. Because my new avatar would need 8k allocated on the disk (even though it was black and white!), I couldnt upload.

I'm all for it. Because my avatar would always have a cluster of 8kb allocated on the disk, I couldnt upload a new avatar with this OS. It kinda sux0rs, cause my avatar was small and its just the fricken allocation.
Furthermore, I think Flash avatars would rule. Tell me if that's just me though :D

I wonder how much space it would take up though.

I haven't had any trouble uploading files myself. Just put them on my webserver and link the avatar upload thinger to it.

I cannot upload an avatar that is exactly 1251 bytes. Isn't this a little ridiculous?

Yea, I'm noticing uploading from your machine doesn't work too often.

It took three months to finally upload my avatar. This site is too picky when it comes to avatars. But, even through all the trouble it was worth it, I mean, look, my avatar is gandhi!
Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

Are you sure you're not Chef disguised in a new screenname?
