I don't know why everyone is having problems with the width. I can reduce the window to around 800 pixels wide and still don't trigger the horizontal scrollbar. That's with FireFox. If you're using IE then you deserve whatever retarded-ness you see otherwise.

Overall I like the new look. My avatar already matches perfectly.

I think the left bar will be more useful when the new beta / faq / content cataloging system goes online.

There's only a scrollbar in 640x480 (Web Developer toolbar = very handy. Lets you modify the CSS, add your own stylesheet too.)

Y'all were using a horribly small fixed width page, and there's complaining about this sidebar? This page streches to no matter what resolution you use (besides VGA that is)

Ok, if you don't want the sidebar... go to your Profile, and change the "Hide Sidebar in Forums" option to yes.

It'll just hide it in the forums, not the rest of the site.

Whoa!! New look!! I like it. It looks busy, just what an info and news site should look like. More info on the same amount of space.

One suggestion though, can you make the section headers (News, Feature, Hosted sites) a bit bigger so that they'll stand out? Other than that, I like the new site better. (did I mention that already?)

well, i dont know if this just happens to me, but the old PM used to auto redirect me to the thread where i have posted, and now after i post i have to click on "click here to see your post" link.
is there a way to change that?

Yeah, I sorta copied over the old public_html folder by accident. Blame matt.

New site looks great

I'm confused about the bitching too... I'm only at 1024x768 and I have no problems with any scrolling or anything crazy like that.

And I'm now used to the new colors

Even after changing it the sidebar shows up for me... and when I go back to look in my profile, it is back on 'no'. It looks like your profile script isn't writing the data to MySQL, but that's just my opinion.

I think it's great!

I freaked when I first saw it, thought the pocketmatrix.com URL got hijacked.

I didn't like the left bar at first, but I'm already getting used to it.

Only suggestion I have is reduce the number of different shades of blue being used. The old site looked really "clean" vs. this one looking "cluttered." I think it just has to do with there being so many blue-shade color transitions. The top bar doesn't match the color scheme of the side bar, and the forum pages don't match the color scheme of the either.

Anyway, keep up the good work, change is good.

you what would probably be cool chris, an option or just plain move that sidebar to the right side. i like it, i just wish it were on the right side. it kinda makes me feel off balanced where it is.
