PocketQuake Developers Topic?!

PocketQuake Developers Topic?!

Postby Robotbeat » Mar 29, 2002 @ 9:28pm

Can we have one? We need one so that we don't have little kiddies asking for Quake on their Palms and stuff in the middle of a thread. How about it? You said you would!!! (You know, only "special people" can post in it, or maybe even view it?)

Learn C++ first, then do the fixed point conversions, then learn mips asm, and then do the mips asm conversions for quake.

And then it'll be considered.

I don't think there is really a need for it, considering nobody is really developing for it at the moment, or anytime soon.

As soon as someone actually steps up and makes a huge difference from v.062 and puts out (i.e. actually does it, and releases it), then it might be considered.

There is too much, 'Hey! I've got a great idea for a game! I know some apple basic, and I'm leaning eVB, and I read an article on C+ once, so give me a forum!' lately.

And there is also too much, 'Okie dokie, we'll give you something for free, before you've even proven yourself or shown anything!' from pmatrix as well.

This needs to stop.

Both your examples seem to directly refer to me...

And I'm not defending myself, either. Constructive criticism is just that... constructive.

However, Chris or Matt did promise a forum for PocketQuake developers.

I don't think we can do that.

BTW, your avatar is really funny, Matt. It just seems strange to imagine you as a fat, donut-eating policeman... :)
