anyone wants a pocket rpg maker? ^^ (BETA on Page 8!)

hi there =)

just wanted to know if anyone would be interested in creating small rpg games for pocket pc. like kyles quest but with a editor capable of running on both win32 and wince.

well..lately i was bored so i started learning c# and got familar with gdi+ (hell..its slow^^) but i thought it would be a nice idea to start a rpg engine for pocketpc.

now i have a nice little rpg engine wich runs maps(128*128 - 16*16 tiles) with 2 layers and a standart rm2k tileset at over 100 fps @ 400mhz. i think i have enough experience in creating rpg engines to finish the project, just want to know if anyone would use it then^^

I doubt you'll get very much interest from the developers around here... Those that would do an RPG would likely do it themselves.

But, things like this usually go over pretty well with the general user community. They like being able to create little games they can share with their friends. So, by all means, go for it! I think it's a neat little project.

I'm one of those people that want to make a game but dont have any programming skills, so yeah I love to use a program like this, especially if you can use it on PPC's as I'd probably spend some time with it on the go. I spend so much time with various editors on my PC, I'd love to use some on my PPC.

Personally I wanted to do something similar to Zelda2 as a base, and add in all sorts of different gameplay elements, that would probably make an action RPG though...

You may want to post about this on PDArcade and PocketGamer. I'm sure there is a good number of people interested. I probably wouldn't use it, but I would LOVE to play some games that are created with it.
