pfrog under VC2005

Many people say that MSVC 2005 gain much better optimizing compiler. I wonder, will it work? Anyone tried recompiling pocketfrog under VC2005 to see if there's a perfomance gain?
I once tried myself to do it using Intel C++ Compiler - it actually became even slower. This is odd, but it is true - I gain about 10% of perfomance by simply rebuilding my project using Intel C++. But I lost about 15% when I also rebuilt pocketfrog.
I also got some strange behavior and project stopped working on samsung CPUs, so I gave IntelCPP up.
