Before putting it all on the web, I'm just curious on how many people:
(1) Use VS.NET
(2) Have the latest MSVC 7.0 runtime installed
(3) Can run GapiDraw
If you have the time, could you please try and run the files in the following package:
http://www.gapitools.com/gdtestfiles.zip
It contains two executable (MFC-based) files. One running in window mode (debug build), and one running in full screen mode (release build). The only difference between the two programs is that the release version call OpenDisplay with the "FULLSCREEN" option. Please note that GapiDraw itself does not use MFC, and is a pure C++ DLL.
If you cannot get the files to run, I collected all MSVC/MFC files I could find in my Windows folder here:
http://www.gapitools.com/mfc.zip
If it asks for a file, could you please note what file it asks for. And for what version of the demo (debug or release). You should copy the file to your Windows\System32 folder if you miss it.
All files have been virus scanned with the latest Norton AV.
So.. What is your general opinion? Should I re-install VS6 and recompile. Or should I expect everyone to soon have the latest MSVC 7 runtimes on their computers?
Does anyone know if Microsoft has a "MSVC7 runtime installer" available for download?
Best regards,
Johan
PS. YES. You can stretch the window. YES. it is supposed to suspend when it is out of focus. YES. it does support correct coordinate mappings, even when the window is stretched.
