Basically I think what the guys here are saying is they dont care if you download Roms but just dont ask for them here as Nintendo or someone with a chip on their shoulder will report the site and give the creators grief.
The easiest way to find roms is by looking for sites on google no brain teasers there.
The best way to get roms is to find companies who have released them into the public domain.
a lot of titles have been released, and if you look around you will find some great games made by home coders for your emulators too these are usually called homebrew titles and they can be quite good.
just look for freeware roms or abandonware roms , home of the underdogs has a lot of (legal) games you can download for the pc there may be other computers there you can get games for too.
back to the roots has amiga software that is legally available.
there are probably sites out there that cover Snes , NES etc, just use google thats how I find everything.
In fact I have hardly ever had advice from a forum that I could use , I 99% of the time have found my own solutions to my problems/questions by myself so its also a waste of your time requesting roms.
also 99% of the illegal rom sites are crap you have to plow through five pages of click this first rubbish before you get that 64k rom you have been after, usually infecting your pc with all kinds of crap on the way.
Obviously you have the emulator now you want the games , that makes sense but as I said before you can find legal roms if you look around.
and if your after something else then google.
