Omg Dan you're fast in answering!
Of course, if I deactivate Pocket PCdrive Dexplor is fast as usual. I intended to say that this pcdrive working as a storage card is the problem here.
Take into account that Pcdrive is slower than a normal storage card (you were to use normal RJ45 lan, it's the same slow) and mine is 1 GB big (though only 85 MB in for now). Even with these factors, about 1 minute to launch Dexplor (complete hang of the PPC while that ocurrs) isn't something normal. I guess there is some type of 'secondary' interaction here.
What does Dexplor with storage cards when launched?
Don't forget I've got the 1.21beta version. I know you're calculating the size of the storage card to guess if it's a true storage card ;) so here is the problem. Omg, in the end it's my fault! lol 8O

I have just found out that my last theory is probably non-sense. Why? A similar scenery would be:
- launching Dexplor
- launching PCdrive
- In Dexplor do File/refresh

No slowdown here.
Even more, I have discovered what produces the slowdown: a massive network activity between the Pcdrive host and my ipaq, I think that this is what bogs my Ipaq during a minute.
And even more, I have noticed this same slowdown produces when launching other software while Pcdrive is running, namely a Task manager called Smallmenu.
It looks like I am in the wrong support forum for this issue...

Excuse me Dan!

I still would like to resolve the issue, certainly in the event that DEXplor could reasonably work around it. As you and I discussed, all of these "virtual" directories, be it network shares, extra "safe" ROM storage, or the PCDrive share, are added to the system as Storage Cards. The trick is for DEXplor to recognize that they are not real storage cards. We had this hashed out properly for network shares (and thanks to you for non-english devices as well). If DEXplor thinks the PCDrive share is really a Storage Card, then it will try to enumerate every single file / subdirectory to calculate the directory size. Does DEXplor place the special Network icon next to the PCDrive directory?
