Changing Controls

SO I played the demo, loved it, bought it. One problem I am having on my Navman Pin 570 is trying to change the controls. It skips past the control for left, then when I go to play the game I can't go right. All I want to do is assign the boost control to another button. The only way to reset the controls seems to be to uninstall and reinstall the game. Any help appreciated
