I don't care about the memory controller. If it is outperformed it is outperformed.

But still, I won't ever buy a card without a 256-bit controller. The performance change is just too substantial.

Of course the brand new cards are amlost always going to outperform the older ones, but by how much, and for what price?

Well, like I said I got my 6600gt for the same price as a 9600xt (probably cheaper than the 9700pro) here in Canada, but I guess I was just lucky.
