DirectShow a mess on Windows Mobile...

To my opinion, it's a real mess. While I have my code running fine on some devices, I have real problems on others.
E.g. the HTC TyTN seems to not enumerate the front camera and lists 160x120@7.5fps (pretty useless) as the only video mode for the back camera. The HTC Mteor lists a 320x240@15pfs video mode, but the pictures delivered are actually just 160x120...
Can anybody here report some better experience?
