Problem with certificate on Symbian device

Problem with certificate on Symbian device

Postby Nomad » Apr 18, 2007 @ 2:34pm

I just want to test Blastar example project on Symbian Series 60 3d edition device to see how it is looked for real.

I've copied .sis and .epk files from apropriate folders to device and tried to run .sis file through file manager, but device showed licence error message and refused to run .sis file.

Do I have to make something more than copy .sis file to device to run Blastar example? I'm total beginer in Sybmyan devices programming.

Regards, Nomad.

Hi Nomad,

Can you tell us if your phone accepts unsigned applications?

If not, you can allow this through the control panel:
- Open Tools -> App. manager -> options
- Select settings
- Set software installation to 'all'

Furthermore, as .sis files are installation files containing the executable and resource files, there is no need copying the files by yourself.

What Series 60 3rd edition do you have?

I've tested it on Nokia E70.

Yeah, after setting to install all, Blastar installed and runned normaly with great amount of fps, certainly more than 25 :)
