Hi Zarina,

It seems that the paths aren't set up like they should, so it can't find the cc1plus.exe program.

We have encountered this error on machines with Windows Vista installed and using the Symbian SDK. We think there might be some incompatibilities with gcc and Windows Vista. Can you tell us the operating system you're using?

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply. I am on Windows Vista / HP dv2000 series laptop. Any idea how to fix this and get going with EDGELIB. I have set path to the proper directories. still it is not able to identify it.

Do you have a linux (preferably : ubunutu) based version for EDGELIB ?

Thanks,
Zarina

Hi Zarina,

When building from a Linux machine you probably can use the existing libedge.a, libedgerender.a and libz.a files. However, you need to use the commandline gcc compiler manually.

An example how to use gcc from the commandline can be seen at the Getting Started tutorial here: http://www.edgelib.com/index.php?node=713

Meanwhile, any idea about how can I solve the edgelibe issue on my Windows-vista ?

Thanks,
Zarina

Hi Zarina,

I think the best way is to use commandline projects or makefiles. Could you try the batch file inside the helloworld sample folder of the EDGELIB SDK?

Hi Zarina,

The .gpe file is your GP2X executable. You can place it on a storage card and run it from the GP2X game menu.
