Bluetooth on Gizmondo

I am trying to use Bluetooth networking features in Edgelib on the Gizmondo.
My problem is that ecd.net[0] is always set to 0 / null! I tried accessing it in OnInit as well as in OnNextFrame, it is set to null in both places!
Is there something I could be doing wrong which could lead to a problem like this? I am using visual studio 2008 for compilation.
