is Edgelib able to create apps for the touchscreen s60 version, with support for touchscreen events?

I recently become an owner of a N97 model and tried to install apps compiled under s60v3 sdk.
On installing i received a incompetibility message and on start "Display couldn't be opened by EDGELIB" message.
Edgelib ver. used:3.95

Any chance to solve it with this version.
