Easy CE is not very suitable for doing a PC version. I'm sorry about that. The problem is OpenPTC; it's not completely bugfree.

EasyCE was never supposed to be used for Windows apps btw; the fact that you can compile on PC is merely intended to be used for debugging.

Yeah, I know it would never be suitable for producing PC games as the primary target, that would just be silly ;-). But I just thought it would be rather nice to offer the PC versions as well as the PPC ones, since they come effectively "for free"; my two games play quite nicely in their PC versions, and I'm sure there will be a few people who would enjoy playing them even if they don't have a PPC.

Maybe I'll find some kludge to work around this keyboard problem; if I do, I'll mention it. Everything else works fine :-).

Oh, and Llamatron II is likely to be one of my upcoming PPC titles - right after I finish Hover Bovver and then do Gridrunner II :-).

Llamatron II? LLAMATRON II??

*passes out*

I've also thought something like Mutant Camels would work beautifully on PPC. D-pad to move camel, stylus to aim & shoot...

Anyway, I found out how to get around the key weirdness problem. Since the prob was obviously related to the buffering of keystrokes, a trawl around the OpenPTC docs revealed that uttering

console->option("disable key buffering");

was sufficient to shut down the troublesome bit of PTC, and now everything is funky :-).

Consequently I have released both my PPC and PC versions on http://www.llamasoft.co.uk/ if anyone's interested ;-).
