Hi,
I've done a fair bit of desktop pc programming but I've recently become interested in coding for Pocket PCs (although i don't have one yet). I've been looking at using EasyCE and I have a question that I would appreciate some help with:
I see that EasyCe uses an internal framebuffer to 'hide' the differences between different Pocket PCs. However I assume that as this is not drawing directly to the machine's framebuffer, it is not drawing at the fastest possible speed. Does anyone know what kind of performance increase would be gained by direct framebuffer access? I'm not looking for an exact answer but just a rough guess of % increase or framerate (e.g from 25fps to 30fps). I'm planning on developing a 3D game so performance is obviously a major concern.
Thanks in advance.
