Multiplayer Quake over BTorWIfI

Postby Sess » Dec 28, 2004 @ 10:17am

So whats the final verdict? Quake over bluetooth is a yes or no? I have an H2215 and Quake with mods runs pretty well (love storm with elf bots). I want to play multiplayer games with my father over bluetooth PAN (both ppc's get valid ip's, I can ping his machine and he mine), but I can't find the others game. I've not been able to connect the pc to my ppc quake server either. Dan, would it be possible to get the winquake dedicated server ported to ppc and running in the background while I run the client and connect to it in the forground? What kind of speed hit would it take? Also, have you had a chance to look into getting the listening server running? I look forward to being able to play some quake over bt. All I can do right now is play using GPRS over BT (tmobile bt cell as internet gateway), and I must admit, the speed leaves quite a bit to be desired.
