Source?!?

Source?!?

Postby Moose or Chuck » Feb 15, 2001 @ 8:55pm

Ok, not to get after you or anything, but where's the source. I don't really want to go through a hassle about this, but I recall you (Dan) saying that the source would be along with the next release. I also don't want to have to do anything like use the power of that source code download agreement thing of id's. I'd really appreciate the source though, as would many other PPC users out there. (Maybe I'll compile my own MIPS version, I would have if the source was there and had time to look at the display routines).
Thanks for the great Pocket Quake BTW.

I recall Dan posting on Brighthand that the source should be available tomorrow. No promises.

No I haven't. I've just been looking through the examples in the eMTools. I'm still not sure about it. But I do believe that most C++ programming books will give you the proper syntaxes, but some memory address (such as display, 0x800, etc.) could be different, so you'd have to download source from someone. I wish Jimmy would provide source for Turjah, or another of his games.

You're obviously building for SH3, SH4 or MIPS. Now that I have checked the other target configurations I see that those have an extraneous library linkage. Go to project->settings. On the tree on the left make sure the root "PocketQuake" is selected. Click on the Link Tab, and make sure General is selected from the drop-down list. Delete wsock2.lib from the Object/library modules box. This will need to be done to build for Debug or Release for SH3, SH4 and MIPS.

Dan East
Last modification: Dan East - 02/17/01 at 10:49:36
