Do you want detailed progress info?

Postby Phantom » Feb 22, 2001 @ 2:57am

Hey,<br><br>I would like to do a proposal, but I'm not sure if everyone likes this: I will post very detailed information about my findings on this board, each time I work on a part of the Quake code. This way, other coders don't need to wade through the same details, and, as soon as other coders start looking at this code and do the same, I don't have to work through every line either.<br>The potential risk is of course complete cluttering of the message board. :)<br>What do you guys think?<br>I have some pretty detailed info about the d_scan.c source file ready, but I'll wait a while before posting it. :)<br><br>- Jacco.

Yeah, maybe it works great if we have a 'PocketQuake players' and a 'PocketQuake coders' forum... Or we could just have the discipline to keep discussions in well described threads.

Jacco Bikker, I have an idea. How about uploading the source to a website, then provide a link, telling us which file and which lines you modified. A date would also be helpful, incase the message is bumped up from a late post. I think that would work the best and would not clutter the forum.

Chris is in the process of setting up a project at SourceForge. I see the project has been created - the source just needs to be uploaded.<br><br>Dan East
