I used to let my e105/e115 copy overnight from my PC to my Microdrive over a serial connection ;) .

Doesn't work for the MP770 -- the display becomes weird and seems to stretch across the screen in bands (but the bands don't line up). I've only been able to launch under 320×200 -- 320×240 and 640×240 doesn't even launch.

It's sorta like if you try to run PalmGB on an HPC with GameX on -- it'll show something similar to this.

I think maybe it's GameX, or maybe GameX with the MP770, or maybe just the MP770. In any case, it probably is related to GameX, because PalmGB can run on the 770 if I disable GameX acceleration, but it ends up emulating slower than my Nino (which has a 75 MHz processor compared to the 131 on the NEC 770).

I'm not sure, but I think GameX has to be written differently for different machines, but don't take my word for it.

Hmmm...the 620 problem is strange...Make sure you download the SH-3 version. When do you get the error message? Does it even start at all?
It could be (and it's very likley) that you are running CE2.0. eMbedded C++ only lets you compile for CE2.11.

As for PQL, make sure you have downloaded the HPC version and you have the MFC dll's on your device. Presubably you can snatch them from Microsoft's site.

HPC Quake use's GameX to acccess the screen. If your device does not work with DoomCE and PalmGB then theres very little chance HPC Quake will work.

The only device that has been tested is the Jornada 680, which works fine albeit a little slow...

It's possible that the 770 is reporting a wrong value for the pitch (length in bytes) of the screen.

If 320x240 doesn't work, then 640x240 wont work either, it just doubles the screen width by drawing two pixlels instead of just one. This means I can fill the whole screen with little speed overhead.

Oh yeah, GameX is compiled in the .exe, you don't need to install it on your system...

If anyone has an answer to the CE2.0 question...

However, sice Felixdd has at least go HPC Quake started, I can help.

It will require a bit of co-operation. I dont have a 770, and wont be getting one. But if he is happy to test builds I can get it working.
