with optimizations it's fairly playable on my E-125. Even faster on StrongARM... and XScale, well :/

GF -- I don't know where I read it...but supposedly MIPS is slightly faster than SH3's.

Yeah...I had a lot of problems with the NEC HPC's.

1) The bad graphics are because of GameX reporting a wrong video-buffer y-pitch.
Try starting Doom with the -mp770 command line param.

2) What exactly is a MP780? I know the MP770 is a 131Mhz HPC Pro, and the MP790 is a 168Mhz MIPS HPC 2000 device.

3) I've had that strange problem finding files on the NEC devices before. God-only knows why since it works fine on my J680 and your MP770. What is the name of the storage card folder?
What if everything is an illusion and nothing exists? In that case, I definitely overpaid for my carpet. -Woody Allen

Dan,

would it be possible to reduce quake II's memory requirements so that ppc2k2 devices can run it ?
if that was possible i think it would run fairly well on my asus.
