Dude, all Vaio laptops are expensive toys...

The libretto is a nice sub-notebook, but a bit expensive, even for sub-notebooks...

You're all wusses. 15.4 inch widescreen, I couldn't use a laptop with something as small as 14in.

I really don't see the point in such a large laptop screen. They lose their portability when they get that large. If you want more screen real estate, do like I do and extend your desktop onto a second monitor when you're at home. I have 12" at 1028x768 + 19" 1600x1200. It's more than enough room for me.

No dude, if you want a good laptop go with Proportable and ASUS. I bought my Asus z71v from them and the thing is awesome. They also have some newer models out that look pretty good, but I think the newest one, (81 something or other) uses a P4 and has like a 256MB graphics card, so while it may be powerful you have to consider battery usage. Playing a game you might only get like an hour or less. On my Z71v, I have the Pent. M and a 128MB GeForce Go6600 and I can play some pretty new games running it a close to full graphics and still have the battery go upwards of 1.5 hours. Plus, if you get an alienware laptop or something from IBM, you'll be paying like 1.5 times what you'd pay if you go with something from Proportable.

Not everyone uses a laptop to play games. The quality of IBM laptops compared to pretty much any other PC laptops is, well, pretty much incomparable. That's why they're so expensive. The price is well worth it, though. My thiknkpad lasted 6 years, and what finally did it in was the keyboard (not too expensive on ebay) and screen (still usable, just really ugly). That means it broke down less than the Compaq did in one a half years under warranty.

Not only that, but Thinkpads are very thin and light, and the keyboards are nothing short of spectacular.

The Fujitsu P7120 looks very nice. My brother has the P7020 and I really like it. I think I might look to buy a P7120 if I end up taking that 8 month job in the UK.

If I were home, I'd just use my 19 inch LCD.

If I want an accessory to my PC, I'll get a newer PDA. I can't do any useful work on a sissy little 14 inch screen unless I want to get glasses quick. Photoshop on such a small XGA screen is a waste of one of my activations.

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.
