First of all, they never said what PalmOS is for. Dreamcast had Windows CE, but that was used to make developing easier. I'll retract the above once Nintendo themselves state what it's for.

A Palm-based organizer cartridge would add PERCEIVED VALUE to the DS. Most users don't give two damns whether it's PalmOS, PocketPC, or CrapOS, and in something like this, I DON'T care, so let the OS evangelists rise to the occasion.

I certainly care. I would much rather carry around a slim pocket pc device that can play Wolfenstein, Quake, Doom all GBA games and SNES/NES games as well as serve as something for me to draw on, watch movies on and take notes on and go on the web than a Nintendo that required me to carry cartridges around with me to play those same games, I cant draw on, can watch limited movies on and is way bulkier than my PPC. Its a pretty useless device if you ask me.

I really don't care in this instance. I have GBA and DS game carts for gaming, and there's already a video and MP3 player availble on the market. I only want this software for a Calendar, Taskpad, and Reminder Software. If I can play MP3's and video (I'm gussing this will have to use an external memory cartridge, like an SD card), all the better.
