Nothing wants to be like Mac OS.

I'm rather excited to see what Vista has to offer. But I agree, XP is fast enough for what I need and I've never had any problems (that I didn't create).
Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

People said the same thing about XP, 2000 from the betas. I'm not listening to what anyone says until the final version.

One thing that pisses me off greatly, and is apparently resolved in Vista, is transparent overlays. There is NO decent reason I need to buy a shitty ATI All-in-Wonder in order to get transparent TV tuner output.
