The only time the frame rates got bad enough to mention imo was when you played co-op and counter-op or whatever that matrix style game mode was, where one player is PD and the other plays random bad guys in the level and switches whenever he is killed (you could only take like 2 shots as a bad guy) by the main character.
I mean just the fact that they included those modes at all giving you the option of playing it (which other than the slow fps was quite fun) was a nice bonus, thats why the only reason I would want the 360 atm is to see what it would look like on "next gen" hardware.
I played the game to death, multiplayer and all and thought the frame rates were fine other than those co-op modes, its a shame because playing those would have been really, really, fun at full speed, perhaps its just me but I play CS and all where fps really matter and thought PD was perfectly playable... maybe you should play without the "high res" option on...
But I really dont think the FPS is what really made goldeneye percieved as better, I'm sure most people saw the lack of the Bond licence as the main reason. As you can see I'm quite fond of Perfect Dark, you can rag on other games if you want but Perfect Dark on 64 does not deserve any of it, the only thing you could really fault them on is being too ambitious, and going past the 64's hardware limits.
Just admit it you guys have the hots for Pierce.
