No, I've never seen that, I've never seen anyone drive their garbage out to the curb and bang the hell out of it with a stick. No, I've never seen that.

yea I agree about the processor, but I'm open to upgrading that down the road too.

I've seen pics of shader 2 vs 3 and I've noticed SM3 does have . But personally I've always perfered smooth fps vs picture quality since I play mostly fps's like . According to toms the ati's rule HL2.

Another thing I'm wondering is how much my 3200 would bottleneck either one of these cards, should match the 6800gs better than the x850xt, but I'm sure it will still have a noticible difference in speed.

I wonder if theres a list somewhere out there that compares cpus + video cards, so you can see the best combos and minimize bottlenecking. That would be nice.

Heres my history since your all so interested.

I went from Rendition Verite, sweet card (glquake was the bomb), one of the first 2d/3d card combos and a much better alternative to the 3dfx garbage going at the time, with an AMD k6-2 300.

Then moved to Nvidia with the TNT2 when Rendition stopped making cards (what a shame) and went for a o/c'd celeron 500 because there was a good deal and it was a very good o/c'er, next was the Geforce2 gts and back to AMD with a 1.2 athlon, then a 6600gt with a 3.2 64bit athlon.

Pretty much all AMD + Nvidia since the beginning for me excluding the Rendition and a Celeron.

I thought Nvidia won the last generation, the 6600gt was killer. So are you with the 6800gs then sponge?

Dual 19"s here, anyone else using multi screens? I figure I might as well make use of extra monitors available to me.

I had a PowerVR card in my first PC.

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.
