Where are they now?

Where are they now?

Let's post what we're doing now that has us so busy that we never post anymore.

Me, oh well, I was just offered a full-time position as a technical writer. I accepted. The pay is great, the people are very nice, and I have a good bit of responsibility, which is inspiring. I'm in the aviation industry now. Weird because I know nothing about aviation.

So, I'm a full-time working man, and I'm attending GWU at night for a master's in publishing.

Spiffy.

I transferred from RIT to SUNY Stony Brook, and I love it here at my new school. Compared to the 70/30 Male:Female ratio at RIT, Stony Brook's 49/51 ratio is a godsend.

Also switched majors from Physics to Mechanical Engineering. I knew I wouldn't be able to stand doing labs 24/7 for the rest of my life. I'm doing Baja SAE now at my schools motorsports club. I love building stuff.

I also work part time at a restaurant in NJ, pays good, around $16 an hour, and it is very flexible with my schedule.

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

Two cupcakes were in an oven. One turned to the other and said "Damn, it sure is hot in here" and the other one said "HOLY SHIT! A TALKING CUPCAKE!"

Not that I ever post much, but right now I feel like honoring this thread with a response :P

I have a pretty slack schedule at uni right now, so I'm pretty much just surfing around on the 'net, and watching movies on cable, instead of doing something useful with all the extra time.

I've been thinking of learning to actually program real applications (university is so theoretical that some real experience could be useful too).
Java/Swing (I know the java basics quite well, but haven't programmed any real GUI apps) and C# are probably the most interesting languages right now.

Does anyone know if Mono is actually useful, since I wouldn't like locking myself into windows if I chose to learn C#? C++ would be useful to learn some more of too, but it's too much of a pain in the ass when you have to manually free memory and all that boring stuff.

Problem is that I'm lazy, and like watching TV more than working ;)

I'm interviewing at medical schools, looking for a house, and planning for my wedding. I barely visit PM once a month now.
