yes you can. Linux will help you create it's own partition when you try to install it. Atleast Mandrake does.

get partition magic you could run a hundred os's all on the same hd.

Well, I could, if I had a 300gigs HD... But with 30gigs I think 3 OS are fine for me. :)

YES, IT IS! All Linux distros are free. That's one major reason why they are better than Windows. And they are open source, so if Linux ever does crash you can go in, find out why, and recode it so it won't crash again.

No, they are not "FREE!".<br><br>They are open source, but that doesn't mean that chaos reigns and everyone can just go altering the OS on a whim. Linux is maintained by a board, and all code must pass through that board before it becomes a part of the OS.<br><br>So Joe-Blow can't come in and rewrite the I/O and distribute it, just because he thinks his routines are better.
