Have you made sure re_soft.dll and game.dll are in the same folder as the exe file?

If the little Quake2 pop-up at the top once you click 'OK' on that window then it's a memory issue. Sadly Quake2 seems to have a problem with memory stability on PocketPC's (2002 at least) reguardless of how much ram you have spare.

Holy cow. Why don't any of you register? That is just annoying.
Die, Palm, Die. If that offended you, then get rid of your Palm OS device.

alrite the files game.dll and ref_soft.dll are in the quake2 directory, because when it was installed it also installed those two files also and the pak0.pak is on the storage card like this Storage card\quake2\baseq\pak0.pak when i ran it the error began "error during initialization" but i also noticed that the program created a config file in the storage card\quake2\baseq2\pak0.pak and nothing else, i press ok on the error window and thats all.

there's a problem with PocketPC2002 that doesn't allow enough memory to be allocated. No way around it so no use beating your head about it :P

The PocketPC2002 OS restricts the amount of RAM that an application can use to under 20MB's, regardless of the amount of RAM that is available for use. PocketQuake II needs more RAM than that to run.
