Congrats James!

I actually have good news to post, first time since this thread started at almost this time in 2001. This girl Katie has been my friend since last year and this year we've become very close friends. I realized that she was a fantastic girl and more deserving than anyone else I know of having a real good healthy relationship. A few weeks ago I made this speech to her saying that I like her and blah blah but it was fantastic, I wrote it out on paper, it was adorable, she even cried a little. So two days ago we had our first date, it was great, went to dinner at Bennigan's. This whole thing is still strange to me, and for those who have been reading LG thread from the beginning know why, but I'm extremely happy.

Guess I'll use this ghost town as a place to vent:

I met this really wonderful girl and have been getting to know her for a little while now. She was originally a friend of a friend, and when said friend was no longer friends with her, she asked me what was up... at the time I didn't know her, but the more we talked, the less we talked about my friend, and the more we just hung out and did stuff together. Basically overnight we went from strangers to best friends... Well Tuesday I told her that I loved her, and she said to me "I'm sorry Chad, but I don't love you like that yet."

Luckily my statement did not alienate her from me, and for that I'm very grateful. I don't understand what she meant by saying "Yet," and then flirting with me 24/7. She's doing it as I type actually. Every day she comes into my arms and stays as long as she can. She tells me "I love you" among other things, (I'm aware that girls use that more liberally than guys) and she says I'm the only reason she shows up to school... and she's become my only reason as well.

Wtf?

I think a big problem is falling in love with a girl you don't even have.

Saying you love a girl who your not in a romantic relationship with, scares the shit out of girls. Using "i like you" is beter or "i have feelings for you".
If anybody tries to call you square
You just look 'em in the eye, tell 'em you don't care!
If you don't want to be a crazy fool
You better study real hard and stay in school!

Dump her, she's got some real issues and is using you to make herself feel wanted/needed/loved/important. Maybe a good reason for going to school would be to educate yourself so you can become a better, functioning member of society.

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.
