Anti Virus

Anti Virus

Postby Rocko » Mar 27, 2005 @ 7:33pm

Recently I switched from my aging Norton Antivirus 2004 to a free program called AVG. I have found that AVG is much less system demanding. Are their any other good free virus programs out there?

Also, what is the status as far as viruses on mobile devices?

Trend Micro Housecall - runs online through ActiveX. Useful occasionally. No need for any others

there are one or two viruses that affect PDAs, now. The virus software definitely was released before the viruses, though. Escalation, anyone?

I've been using AVG, but last time I went to download it for a new computer it sure looked like it had gone completely commercial. They used to offer a basic version for free, but I can't find it now.

If you can still find the AVG Free version install file then it will still update, but they don't offer the program for free any longer. McAfee or someone has bought out AVG.

I have Avast installed on here, but it's never used. I trust housecall.
Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

Hi Everyone

About Anti-virus, There are some free anti-virus available in market.
As per my opinion, AVG is one of the best anti-virus because it can easily delete all viruses from my pc.
I am using it last two years and it works nicely and perfectly.
The speed of my pc is very excellent.
