Looking for new headphones...

Postby James S » May 3, 2006 @ 1:41pm

I've travelled by train in the US a couple times. Every time the train has been delayed over 40 minutes. I don't get what the problem is. It's on a track, it just goes. There's no explanation.

Actually, in the US it's not illegal to drive a car while wearing headphones. That's a common myth. Your mommy was lying to you about that, Moose.

Also, it is perfectly legal to drive a car without wearing any shoes as well.

It would be rather stupid if it was in fact illegal... I mean, what's the difference between listening to the radio in the car, or listening to, say, your MP3 player by using headphones? Either way, you most likely won't hear anything from outside the car.

That's why they have flashing lights too. If you can't hear the sirens, maybe you'll see the lights. :)

I know people that have been ticketted for wearing headphones. In fact, it is a state by state law, and most outlaw the use of headphones while driving, because not only do headphones produce sound, they also occlude other sounds by plugging the ear.

Here are some codes that prohibit headphones while operating any type of vehicle from a couple states that I found on the first page that came up in google.
Florida Section 316.304
CA Vehicle Code Section 27400

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.
