This is awesome. We don't need DNRs anymore, we can just wake the person up with this pill and ask them if they want to go on living in their "permanent" vegetative state!

Did you actually read the article? It wakes up people who were thought to be in PVS, not those who actually are. Permanent brain damage is a bitch and it's not likely that a pill will ever be able to help that.

I'm not a medical doctor but it seems to me that if you don't have 3/4 of your brain than its not coming back. You are a vegetable whether your eyes are open and you drool on yourself of you are permanently asleep.

Well I've heard of someone getting shot in the head and having to remove half of their brain, yet the person still manages to live life normally with half a brain.

I somehow believe in that 10% theory.
