Play Wolfenstein on SH3 or MIPS devices!!!

If you want to play Wolfenstein on a SH3 or MIPS device then I have an alternative for you.  With PocketSNES you can play the SNES Wolfenstein port. Just look for the Wolfenstein ROM on the internet and have fun.  I don't know about MIPS devices but my HP Jornada 547 will run it ok with frame skip set at 5 or so and the sound tuned off. Scott Ramsby's version of SNES seems to not play Wolfenstein on SH3 devices, but you might try it on a MIPS machine.  But the original PocketSNES works good on SH3 devices <br>

Yeah thats great except they changed half the graphics, turned the dogs into rats, and runs at a horrible unplayable speed. Also no user levels.

Also, I believe if you search hard enough there is a wolfenstein 3d port to tha apple ][ gs, which you may be able to run under apple ce

I would be happy to make some screenshots for viewing on the palm. I would have to crop them down to fit a palm's stunted display, but that's no problem. Palm users are quite used to perpetual compromise.<br><br>Dan East

You know what.  You can also get the doom rom and play it on a GBA emu.  It will just be unbelievably slow and jerky.  I never liked emu's for my handheld that much.  I felt as though the games they offered, which are great on the original system, don't fufill the potential of my handheld.  Basicly, it's just not the same.  I say play quake till wolf comes out for your device.<br><br>Also, palm emulation sucks (surprise surprise).  The GB emu is too slow, and the sound is terrible on the Palm Vx.

Why doesn't Dan just port it to MIPS?? Instead of all this apple ce rom crap, and SNES rom crap.<br><br>Dan, are you saying that you'd port PocketWolf to Palm CE before MIPS?? Why don't you just port, post the file(s) on PM, have MIPS people (like me!) download it and test it for you! That's the easiest way. <br><br>It's getting real annoying when ARMS people go around laughing about how good PW3D is, and tell the MIPS people to just go get an SNES rom!
