Maybe not group them in new categories, just sort them alphabetically or by company/producer?

It's actually looking a bit more unneat, at least to me. I would think the Gen Dev Discussion should be right at the top of it's section, and then alphabetically.

By the way, is there a need for the one Multimedia forum to have it's own section?

How about adding a 'Product Announcements' category? From there we can post any announcements regarding our products (any software - free/beta/trial/release etc:-)
