Ya, I remember hearing about that before, I think... There are so many of those type things in Japan I can't keep track of which one is which, and they all look very similar.

Yeah, I took an interest in that one due to the processor. There's a yahoo group for it and stuff. Definitely interesting, but it doesn't seem to have taken off.

I think it marketed itself into a corner. Functions like a PDA, but made for young/oldish children, so many would 1. not see the cool factor in this, and 2. not know how to use it or even completly understand it, and 3. Game Boy has not been beaten by ANYTHING yet, and thus people will naturally go towards the GBA.

With that said, it's still a VERY cool little device, I'd buy it in an instant if it were a bit more cheaper (and I had money)

Imagine if you get PocketPC/PPC programs running on there.. (actually could be a bit easier than you initially would think, but not easy by any means) too bad it's only 8MB :P

Wonder if a GBA emulator could be done on that.. then there's no excuse to have that horrid screen.
holy internets batman.

no, no GBA emu, it runs at 36mhz natively and can go up to 144mhz with software overclocking. and it uses Smart Media for expansion.

Only 36mhz? And they manage a TurboGrafix 16 emulator? Something doesn't seem to be adding up here, the TG16 was not a weak system by any standards.
