Ok guys, I need some insight. I have a Jornada 568. It works fine in the cradle. However, when I take it out of the cradle it performs a hard reset. If I press in the back of the PPC on the battery, then it will behave normally. If I release the back, then it does a hard reset. Also, I keep receiving a "backup battery is low" message;however, when I check it, the backup battery is reading "Good"
Is it just the connectors on the back of the PPC that is causing this problem or is there some deep rooted evil at work here?? If it is just the connectors on the back, would a tight form-fitting case like a Vaja case with a penny taped to the back of the battery hold it in properly so it won't hard reset?? Any ideas as to the backup battery??
FYI, my warranty expired 4 months ago. I wouldn't mind getting a new PPC but I was hoping my jornada would make it until April. By then, Intel would have already released its new Xscale processor (PXA250 C1) with the 200 MHz memory bus and we should be seeing it in some actual products.
