I'm pretty sure Dell will put out an Axim upgrade and my guess is that they will do what Compaq did & charge a fee for 'postage'. I will call my Dell account manager in a few weeks time to see what she can find out from the Axim product group. ( that's what I did when I wanted to ensure they were shipping the pxa255 before I purchased)

If they do just wait until a few dozen others have tried the upgrade. If it's anything like the iPaq one the first cut will not work.

It's true PPC2003 will use 48MB of ROM?
Seems to much for me... And if it's so this means that Axim base(32ROM) will not be upgradable? Sounds ridicolous

Anyone have the axim with PXA255? How does it perform? It's fast as new HP jewel?

The 2250 only has 32MB of ROM, leaving you with 3MB for file store.

Oh WOW modular installation, what we need... So you could decide not to install some M$ crap if you don't use it

And 255 is faster than standard dell? But doesn't have 200Mhz bus...
