Activesync with WIn2k

Postby Oettinger » Jul 15, 2001 @ 1:16pm

I've experience that the Activesync doesn't work with my Win2k, it keeps on searching the serial port but I've already plug into Com1 and it seems that the program couldn't search the correct port.

Someone suggest me to uninstall the Norton Internet Security to fix the problem, but i have no luck. Therefore if anyone here know how to solve the problem pls let me know. Thx

Are you using Avantgo from the CD that came with your Pocket PC? If so, you can download a newer version from www.pocketpc.com. Pocket PC are you using?

I am using the iPAQ 3630. THe problem is I can't get the Activesync work when I run it under win2k, however, everything goes fine when I run Activesync under Win98SE. Therefore, I would like to know the reason why Activesync doesn't work under Win2k.
Activesync works fine on W2k for me, but I use USB and Ethernet to connect, not serial. You may try going into the device manager and slow the port down some to see if that helps.

Dan East
