CF Problem

CF Problem

Postby RwGast » Dec 28, 2001 @ 8:10pm

I have a parallel reader for cf/smart media, i used it to read my smart media for my camera for a year now and never had any problems. But i tried to put my new 256mb of flash into it and evertime i access it from anything my computer, explorer, etc, the computer just locks up. Then i was told i need to format the cf card so i went to right click and format and then it locked up before even opening the formatt window, what the hell is going on here?

no that is not normal. you need to have it formatted to PPC, which i think your ppc will do automatically
Why?

Hey thanks for the help, i figured out my problem though, a parallel flash reader takes forever to read a 256mb flash card on a p150. So i just stuck my pc card adapter in my mom 300mhz  laptop and it read the flash quick as all heck it took 5 seconds to format the crd.
