You probably know some of this already but here is the whole process:
Leave a CompactFlash card (with at least 32 megs free) in your ASUS and dock it. If you're not seeing the right contents of the CF card then take it out and put it back in while the ASUS is on. Sometimes it doesn't seem to notice when a CF card has been switched. Open ActiveSync Explore or Windows Explorer (open Mobile Device in Explorer).
Extract the ROM from the ZIP or RAR file if necessary and then copy it as AD620N.nb0 to the Storage Card folder on the ASUS. You probably have to click on the My Pocket PC folder to see the Storage Card folder. Remove the ASUS from the dock when it's done copying.
Follow my advice in my post above because you will lose anything you haven't backed up. When you are ready to flash the ROM, make sure that the CF card with the ROM is in the ASUS and then turn it off. Hold down the Notes/Record button (you know, the one on top) and press the stylus into the reset hole on the back. It will flash the ROM in a couple minutes. Restore your backup (if you did one) using the directions I wrote in the post above.
The new ROM reduces or eliminates clicking and popping of the speaker and appears to fix the alarm problem that WM2003 had. I've tried the alarms a few times after the update and they worked fine for me.
