Chris,<br><br>Just thought I'd stop by and post my thanks for creating such an awesome content page for PocketDivx.  Your encodings are of the highest quality, you should post your own HOW-TO guide.<br><br>It's nice to finally have some content available for the player. <br><br>I will try to keep up with this forum as well, but if you see repetative issues or requests for features, please drop me a note and I'll do my best to get them into the player ASAP.<br><br>Thanks again.<br>

Are you the pocket DivX Developer? If so thanks alot man i never use mpeg becuase it was to big and i was getting sick of wmv's problems. And what do you know pocket DivX came out, better than any other player. I dont even have media player or pocket tv installed anymore.

yep, that's him. Marc Dukette. There are a few other people helping out with it too, but he's the main dude.<br><br>on another note... i'm going to reencode all the multimedia i have up right now to be rotated the other way.. that way when you rotate it to watch it portrait, it's not upside down.

settings:<br><br>185kbit/s video 2-pass (usually 24fps)<br>40kbit/s audio mono 44100Hz<br><br>there you go. I'm using the default settings for the other divx stuff..

Well technically the project belongs to ProjectMayo/DivxNetworks, and was actually started by a guy who left the project early one, but yes Pedro Mateu and I are the two people currently doing most of the development on the project at the moment.  However its an opensource project and anyone who wants to work on the project is more than welcome to swing on by projectmayo and lend a hand.  Also feel free to swing by and tell us what you'd really like to see added to the player next even if you can't do the coding.<br><br>I'm glad you like the player, and I am as excited as you are to see this site come up providing content for the player.<br><br>Big round of applause for Chris!!!

I dont know about the rest of you, but my DSL modem caps off at 62.5 k/sec, and that is what speed I get when I download off of PM.

I assume you are talking bytes, not bits.  That's about what I have gotten off PM, however I would love to see content on a faster server because my cable modem genearally will handle 3mbit/sec(350KByte/s).
