no, I've had my MicroDrive for over a year now and I haven't had a single problem. It's just as fast, even faster if you want to watch movies or listen to MP3's, but some games can pause a little bit while loading. Like in Turjah when a new enemy appears it has to load that visual from the MD so the game 'stutters' for a couple hundred milliseconds, not more than 200. It's really no big deal, and it doesn't affect my game playing. Smart games like PocketQuake and Snails already have everything needed preloaded so tehre isn't any delay during the gameplay. Racing Days works fine too. But if it weren't for my Microdrive my PocketPC would be on the bottom of my closet right now. I couldn't use my pocketpc without a microdrive!
