DillRye, no one said TabletPCs can or should take the place of PocketPCs. That's an asinine idea to me. They have different names for that very reason. But he said he wanted to use it for school, so I mentioned TabletPCs in passing because it could incorporate the functions of a PocketPC for his purposes while also providing all of the functions of a desktop computer in an light and easy to use form factor.

what is this kid going to use his pocket pc for anyway?

i used mine in college to take notes, record musical excerpts.. and the rest of the time played games and emulators during lectures, oh and browsed the net a little bit when my reception was good enough :)
