A730W 'Automatic Power Saving Mode' grayed out ?!?

Unfortunately I don't have an old ROM, what I did was to restore an image of the data previously backed up by the ASUS backup tool.
Don't get me wrong, the device still is not back the way it was originally being that I still can't easily modify the "greyed" option. However restoring this original system back-up followed by a current data restore enables me to change the option through the back door... Still trying to figure out an easier way, maybe via the registry...
