Forcing video to FILM

Postby trueg » Oct 12, 2002 @ 11:52pm

Accolon, I was wondering why you suggest forcing the video to FILM. I am in Canada and DVD's are generally released in std NTSC 29.97fps. The video that I tried last night was NTSC 29.97fps, but it was rated FILM 98%. Does that mean it was really encoded at 24fps? And if so how is it displayed on an NTSC TV? If not, when I encode it at 24fps does it loose frames? I tried a trailer from my Final Fantasy DVD and it worked perfectly, but how can it just force the frame rate to 24fps? What happens to those extra frames?

Thanks,
TrueG

The problem is with the MP3 codec. I'm working on a new guide that uses OggMux, which uses a different method of combining audio and video streams to illiminate the sync problems. I was hoping to have the guide released this week, but it's not looking like that will happen. I've finished the first step in the guide, so I still have about 3 more to do.

So, how about within the next 2 weeks? :)

It seems to be a problem with the PocketMPV Player. Over at the project mayo forums they have found a fix. What you need to do is edit the WAV file to be the same length as the Video file.

Hope this helps.

 hehe! I found out I didn't convert the audio from AC3 to WAV properly. Once I got that corrected I reencoded. Now I have video and audio BUT the audio is not in sync. I just can't win...

Problem running HeadAC3he

Postby gartogg708 » Mar 13, 2003 @ 8:33pm

Ok, call me stupid, but how do I actually run HeadAC3he? I downloaded the file through the link in your guide, but it is a .rar file and I have no idea what to do with it. I am supposed to start HeadAC3he but I do not know how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
