cDe- I noticed your version of DosBox has a status bar at the top and a keyboard pull-up in the lower right corner. Mine doesn't have these! I wonder if I have an older version or something... if so, where do I get 'v 0.61'?
Even so, I've been able to get a few games to run:
Dune 2- Runs like a dream. Near full speed on my Asus A620 overclocked to 530 after tweaking the settings a bit (frameskip=3, cycles=1000 - has anyone else noticed that when you lower the 'cycles' value, speed goes up!? Am I just retarded?)
SimCity- Works fine, really laggy but playable. Can anyone tell me how to scroll the map in this game?
Populous- Works great! fast, playable.
Wing Commander- Runs suprisingly fast, but not full speed. Controls work but are sideways (anyone know how to change that?) Looks really cool on the PPC.
Quest for Glory 1- Works great except for the mouse issues, which makes it unplayable. You can move the player around but you can't walk to a screen on the left due to the mouse prob. Looks great, worth trying out.
B.A.T- Works, loads fast, mouse issues, unplayable.
Warcraft - Still can't get this bitch to run, tried running setup on desktop and choosing no sound and it still didn't work. It looks like it's loading and then just quits the program. Any suggestions? I really want to play this!
Space Quest 2-Loads fine, unplayable because of no onscreen keyboard. SQ1 and 3 didn't load. Haven't tried 4 or 5.
BattleChess- Loads, runs gameplay demo, couldn't start game due to control issues.
Death Track- Loads, can start game, but can't drive due to control issues.
The Lost Vikings - Loads, runs gameplay demo, really slow, can't start game due to control issues.
I've tested alot of games but these were the only ones worth mentioning. DosBox is a fun little program, I hope someone picks up development on it.
