Maybe not all is lost Paul. Don't give up. That would be a mistake.

Paul, I know for sure (own expierence, that is) that it's a lot worse to regret what you should have done then what you've done.
What's the harm in talking to her?

pfft, one of her brothers told me she said i'm a geek - this is partly due to the, uh, stupid things i did, and partly due to a loud conversation i had with her brother over who would win in a fight between batman and superman...

i appear immature and geeky because i talk about cartoons and comics, i only wish she knew i'm not.

I talk about batman and superman... but I guess that won't get your esteem up. Superman is the better hero, but you have to respect batman. But that was only because some geek walked up to me and asked me who I thought would win :P.

Oh, and you don't like her. She's just got sex appeal (the beach one right, not the library one?). I'd go for the library one, which means you'll go for the beach one.

Paul, my office at home has it's wall covered with posters of DC, Marvel, Image, etc. I have more then 200 trade paperbacks, and I can talk about comics for a whole night straight and still have more things to say.
Nobody's a geek just because he/she like comics. You'll be a geek if you can't talk about it as a admirer, if you start loosing the notion of why you like comics in the first place.
Anyway, that kind of impression can be changed buy some mature (as opposed to childish or bs) conversation.
Show her a issue from Marvels, or anything from Tim Ross. Can anybody think that calibre of art as imature or "geeky"?

the library girls closer to my level - shes more likely to be interested in comics for example. dont know what to base my choice on though, they're both equally good, really.

but then, 'beggars cant be chosers' so i have no business even talking about them like this. its not like they're after me...

Paul ... Paul, paul, paul.
Just ask em out. You have nothing to lose with either of them. You don't have a friendship to screw up with any of them, you don't have some common course or something that would become awkward. It's golden, just go for it.

It's a good thing that they aren't going to your university.

Just ask em out. When they hesitate act cool about it. Say something like, "Well, here's my name and phone number (write it down on a scrap of paper at this point). If you want to go out, cool. If not, that's cool too." Then just say later and walk away (After handing her your name and phone number).

But I'm sick of all these same old conversations. Hrmmm...
I think Chris and 999 are secret gay lovers, because 999's last known IP address before he disappeared was Chris's school's IP. Ask Matt, it's true, the IP part anyway.
