I installed GigaBar on my iPAQ and it's awesome. For those who never used it before, it's a little bit confusing because of all the features it has, and it seems too complicated. I made a web serch and found a page at PocketPassion that explained in a very simple way how to use all it's possibilitys:
Well, I still prefer WIS Bar, as most people do. GigaBar sucks because skinning GigaBar sucks and it eats up resources.

I tried both WisBar and GigaBar. There basically the same, but GigaBar is way more customizable then WisBar. It has so many functions that most of them won't be used. Maybe that's WisBar's great characteristic: it's simple and intuitive to use. I imagine that in slower machines GigaBar can be a problem, because with all its resources it will drag the system down a bit. As for skins, I think WisBar has more variations available to dl. The one I'm using is the IPAQXOQ, with space for 6 buttons on the right. But I would like to put a graphical battery meter there. Does anybody know where I can find it or even a scheme/skin that has one already? Mine only has a memory meter.

I find WISBar to be ricketty, but Gigabar completely reformats my entire today screen with garbage I'll never use, plus it was more difficult to set up. And all I wanted was a way to close down programs without going into the Memory Settings, so WISBar works great for me!

Speaking of WISBar, if somebody's interested, heres the dl page:

On this page you have hot to set it up:

And about the "device" you're talking about, can it be used as a vacuum cleaner too? Now Palm is in serious trouble.
